Long Studio Bench Of Shipwreck Wood & Chain
USA Circa 1950s Studio piece crafted from the found wreckage of the James D Sawyer, a wood schooner that met its untimely demise in the waters of Lake Michigan in 1880.  The wreckage washed ashore near Charlevoix Michigan and salvage began after a year on the beach. Constructed of oak planks and anchor chains. Placqued with provenance, and signed by the artist James Sawtelle.
